Gravity Supply Chain Accelerates Growth and Talent Acquisition with Relocation of its Hong Kong Hub
Hong Kong – May 29, 2018 – Gravity Supply Chain, a global cloud-based end-to-end supply chain management platform provider has moved its Hong Kong base of operations in a bid to continue nurturing top talent and provide customers with unique support and insights.
Located in Hong Kong’s Cheung Sha Wan district, at the center of a vibrant Kowloon peninsula, the new office is a stone’s throw away from the Asian hub’s bustling 24-hour container port, as well as a growing cluster of startups and technology incubators. The environment will help foster creativity, increase collaboration and allow the start-up to expand its customer base.
The move will enable Gravity Supply Chain to continue executing a succesful business model, through its flat organizational structure, paving the way for the organization to continue attracting top talent from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds, helping deliver unique products and services.
“People are a key part of our strategy. Making sure we have dynamic enthusiastic and creative colleagues is a crucial element of our vision,” said Graham Parker, Co-founder and CEO, Gravity Supply Chain.
As part of its growth strategy, the digital technology enabler is looking to further develop its sales and customer support teams to accommodate growing demand in Asia, Australia, and the U.S. This also helps to facilitate a lot of professional growth opportunities for our product and developer teams, based in Hong Kong, by working to ensure that clients are being accommodated efficiently and effectively with solutions better tailored to their needs.
“Technology is at the core of what we do here at Gravity. This move facilitates expanding the development team so we can build more features faster while increasing the quality of the Gravity application. Hong Kong is home to many exciting retail and logistics companies and we’re proud to give them access to advanced supply chain technology that helps them increase profit,” said Darren Palfrey, Co-founder & COO, Gravity Supply Chain.
The company has witnessed tremendous growth over the last financial year, including an investment of $7 million backed by Singapore-based venture capital firm, Wavemaker Partners in May 2018 and an ever-increasing global footprint in Australia, Europe and the U.S.
Hong Kong has seen significant advancements in its technology sector over the last few years with a spate of initiatives by the city’s government, including the creation of the Hong Kong Science Park and a pledge to double investment in research and development by 2022. The Chinese government is also injecting millions in funding and support, pledged by Xi Jinping, the Chinese President, to position the city as a major innovation hub.
