Roland Vlemmix joined Gravity Supply Chain Solutions’ One Commercial Team, as Regional Senior Sales Manager, Europe, in Q1 2019. Roland’s primary role at Gravity is that of liaising actively with customers, and closing solution sales within Europe; this new role will include the forging of relationships with new customers, and winning new business while also supporting existing customers through their journey to becoming digitized.
He comes to Gravity Supply Chain Solutions with over 27 years of experience within international sales and key account management within the supply chain, ecommerce, and industry sectors. Roland prides himself on being a successful motivator and communicator, with extensive experience in the implementation of well considered, planned and organized solutions to help him meet with the customer’s exact requirements.
Roland gained his significant and extensive managerial experience within the supply chain industry during the first decade of his career. He then accepted an exciting new opportunity to step up into Sales and Business Development, and it was while in this role that he became solely responsible for the sale of benchmarking services to shippers, covering both land delivery detail and the successful distribution of ocean shipments on time and in full.
Roland currently resides in the Netherlands where his comprehensive employment history has earned him a wealth of knowledge and experience encompassing the many areas of supply chain management. Not only possessing an incredibly well-polished command of his native Dutch language, he is impressively trilingual, being fluent in English and German too! Possessing an unsurpassable skill-set ranging from his undisputed leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, to his ability to exercise practical and conceptual approaches and the provision of complete transparency throughout the complete supply chain, he has gained a significant advantage when it comes to finding the perfect solution.
